Welcome to Yorkswood Primary School. It is an absolute privilege to lead a school where children are at the heart of everything we do.

Our ‘Why’
For me, leading this school is deeply personal. Having grown up in an area very similar to our community, I know first-hand the transformative power of having a school you can be proud of. Our "why"— our sole focus—is ensuring that every single child here is provided with the absolute best opportunities for future success. I believe that education is the key to choice and opportunity.

Ambition is critical. We want every child to be inspired to love learning, to nurture their talents, and to be given the opportunities they need to thrive both now and in the future.

The Yorkswood Family: A Unique 0–11 Journey 
We are in a unique and fortunate position at Yorkswood to offer comprehensive provision from ages 0 to 11. From the very minute a child steps through our doors—in some cases as babies in our wonderful Brambles provision—they become a valued part of the Yorkswood family. Brambles gives our youngest children an amazing, nurturing start before they transition into more formal learning in Nursery. Because we are with them from the very beginning, we get to know our children exceptionally well, guiding them at every vital stage of their childhood.

Throughout this journey, education here is purposeful and exciting. Children benefit from an ambitious curriculum, inspiring learning environments, and enriching wider opportunities. Taught by dedicated and passionate staff who are committed to making a real difference, we work tirelessly to ensure our children feel safe, happy, and valued. In return, we have high expectations for attendance, conduct, and character, promoting a positive culture where children learn to respect themselves, each other, and their environment.
