Our "Why" and the Yorkswood Journey

At Yorkswood Primary School, we are constantly reflecting on "The Why" behind our work. Headteacher Mr Lawrence recently shared his personal connection to our community, noting that education is the ultimate key to choice and opportunity. Our "why" is simple: your children. We are committed to providing the best teachers, the best environment, and the best provision for every child.

This term has been a whirlwind of progress! We have launched Kinetic Letters, a revolutionary physical approach to handwriting that builds core strength and boosts student confidence. We are also incredibly proud of Tommy, our nominee for the Solihull SEND Child of the Year, who recently enjoyed afternoon tea with the Mayor.

As we look toward the future, we are even evolving our school identity. While our "AICE" values (Achievement, Inclusion, Commitment, and Enjoyment) remain at our core, we are excited to launch a refreshed set of values very soon.
